==Introduction==

The WHEF seeks to bring together financially successful individuals from the Hindu Society, such as traders, bankers, technocrats, investors, industrialists, businessmen, professionals, economists, and thinkers under one roof so that each group can share their business knowledge, experience, and expertise with their fellow brethren to make them understand the principles of surplus wealth generation to make society prosperous.
Historically the Hindu community has been highly enterprising. The Hindu contribution to the world economy from the 1st to the 15th century was more than 35% of the world GDP. From the sixteenth century to mid-eighteenth century,the Hindu civilization slipped to the rank of second place, after China, although it still contributed 25% of the world's GDP at that time. During the colonial period, when Bharat was dominated by European powers, the Hindu civilization lost control of the means of production, trade and commerce, which led to immense destruction of the economic prowess of the Hindu Civilization.
Major shifts have taken place in the world economy since the late 1960s. With greater emphasis on the creation of more open economic markets as well as transformation brought about by rapid technological advances that have led to greater integration of the world economy.
Hindus have kept up with the times by taking advantage of the new avenues of movement and economic opportunities. Currently, the advanced European and North American economies are facing severe economic crisis. Hindus should convert this crisis into opportunities for themselves.
